Serving the residents of Clay County.

The Edwards Public Library system is located at 210 W. Gilbert Street, Henrietta, Texas. The Edwards Public Library provides free services to all residents living within Clay County and surrounding area.

The library system holds over 30,998 materials including over 31,875 books, and 1,225 compact discs, cassette tapes and books on cassette. Over 2,040 DVD's and Video cassettes are also now available for check-out.

In total, over 34,000 items were checked out of the system during fiscal year 2008-2009! In addition to these items, thousands of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s DSL connection, enjoy state-of-the-art Wi-fi service, participate in computer and Internet training, view a Library exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s many events.

The mission of the Edwards Public Library is a service institution.  It seeks to inform, educate, entertain, and culturally enrich the citizens of Clay County with access to its collections, technologies, facilities, and services.  The library is committed to encourage the positive and exciting activity of reading.
